top picture is nice but I'm not keen on the 'up the nose' angle of the other two I wondered if a slight crop off the wall might look better plus little sharpening around the eyes

The sharpening tweak works for me. It amazes me personally that, when I first embarked on tweaking shots, it used to take me so much time to plan through the work flow.

One way or another, though, and mostly I think through working on the forum I pick up on tips which then can become second nature when weighing up what should be done with a shot.

Curly's possible concern that his little friends might have forsaken him seems to come through to me a bit more with the sharpening tweak.

That is a magical shot, I think. All of these different expressions are amazing... aren't they Martin?
