RE: Chelmsford Cathedral
I have now reprocessed from RAW, the mural in Chelmsford Cathedral. It is themed around the Tree of Life with both Biblical references and modern day ones, too. There is pile of rubbish, Judas hanging form a bough and all sorts.

Appropriate for today, me thinks.

The Tao That Can be Photographed is Not the Eternal Tao.

Obviously the 3rd frame is glorious!
All the set is wonderfully captured though.
Loving the old and the new on the organ, Digital monitors & mobile phones in a Cathedral, whatever next?

RE: Chelmsford Cathedral
Concerts are sometimes performed in that nave; and these churches are very much community spaces.

I didn't show a shot for the thrones of the four (I think it is) bishops that are proponents of the various C&E branches. There is a central larger throne, too.

Such places are respites from the hurly burly and the mind settles to the task at hand wonderfully.

RE: Chelmsford Cathedral
I am drawn to old churches and Cathedrals despite being an apatheist (Go on , look that one upSmile) The sheer beauty of Architecture wins me over every time.
A cracking image there in the Tree Of Life Geoff, brilliant.

Born analogue, but the whole world has gone digital!

RE: Chelmsford Cathedral
It seems to tell the raunchiest of stories... and the idea is a very pagan one, both in the middle east and in Norse mythology.

Judas Iscariot hangs from a bough. But the pagan Norse would do their human sacrifices, that way.
