I had what I felt was a most successful shoot, yesterday. I asked some weeks go if I could have permission to shoot, and I got to know the staff, as well.

This first subject is a mural painted on an undeveloped east-facing window frame. "The Tree of Life" is both a biblical theme and and a Norse Pagan theme, for this representation is an ancient oak tree. There is much detail and reference embedded in the mural.

I have other shots that I will process and present, too.

A replacement stained glass window for one which was blown out in WW2. I think too that the frame has some structural damage.

I asked the organist's permission. and I have his email address, too, for onforwarding copies.

I took several shots and concentrated on different aspects. Other shots I optimised for view of the organ stops, for example.

I took the blue lighting as being in character. But I agree I could have altered the cast coloration. Just perhaps, I tend to play this sort of issue a bit conservatively.

It is not that often that I do a character study and I liked the feeling.

Geoff, love this.
