Re: My first attempt
Yes, Simon, you are certainly putting that fz45 through its paces. They are acknowledged as being one of the best in their class, too.

Re: My first attempt
I love it as long as you don't go to wild with the zoom the pictures can be amazing, but as you have said the lcd view finder can be to slow on especially on high end zoom and it can take awhile to refind your shot even having to zoom out to find it then zoom back as your follow. But still can't fault picture quality and close up and macro pictures can be quite breath taking.[attachment=0] This is not the best close up i have i'm still shifting through files  but as you can see it's quite good at capturing details, the spider is chowing down on a bee in this shot 8-)

Re: My first attempt
Simon,
Excellent, If I may say so. It would be possible to apply some post processing sharpening to that, I feel, and improve it some. Doing close ups is possible, but it can be so much totally easier with a Dslr. You are doing OK, though. Are you ready to open an account with Flickr or something similar, now that you are steadily getting a photo collection together You see our server space will get consumed, if we have too many direct uploads. Re: My first attempt
One step at a time Geoff
That particular picture was just resized and put up when i get a flikr account sorted with all my pics on i will go through them before and sharpen etc where nes, although im a tad old fashioned with the post processing aspect and like to see a shot as it was intended which then gives the photographer the ability to see how and where they can improve, and not become reliant on the shoot and process way of photography ![]() Ok lets get into this flickr i maybe some time  Learning as i live! |

Re: My first attempt
Simon,
Just take the one step at a time. Just upload some and and show me where the display site is. Then, I will link some images back on here; and show you how that is done. Geoff Geoff |

Re: My first attempt
Hi Simon,
You can give me the url of your page on Flickr. I can then send you a personal message back with some specimens of shots showing, in the PM. Then you should be able to follow and place into your posts. (PM's and posts use the same BB-Code tags; but don't worry what they are... all will become clear!) This really is the last hurdle.
