mmm sorry but this is the reason many people don't like post processing :o

what you have here is a rather uninspiring photo that you have 'processed' to death to try and make something of it and ended up with an over process, noisy, uninspiring photo.

where you have gone wrong with this shot is to try something the camera is not cable of and then used some form of hdr software to make up for the lack of technique.

What you 'should' have done is either use a neutral density filter or bracket 3 shots and then blend them.

Hi Colin,

Even so, graininess has appeal, in some situations; and I am not disagreeing with your comments. Here all the "mutilations" do provide an attractive impressionist type of picture. Th pink tinge in the reeds whilst not being representative is not unattractive, either.

In my earlier learning experience it was a seemingly endless round of trying this and trying that. But it is valuable to give different things a try.
