300 px wide. Enlarge in [^popup] or [^new tab].

This is one of my selections; it is taken through a window of a bus using the D90.

Didn't know what to think when I first saw it Geoff, but then I looked on full screen...what a difference, really good considering it was taken through a window!

Yes it is a good proof of principle. The foreground motion blur is helpful to the composition, too. The fact that I can do this on a moving vehicle is some tribute to the Nikon D90's lens stabilisation system. The GE X5 will let me do a panorama of shots which are more zoomed in a lot more than that.

Some time soon, I can alight form the bus and stand on the cliff top and try my hand with a panorama.

Hard to judge which are my best shots from this years but my top 3 are these because they came out as I wanted and each achieved a small challenge I had set myself.

My favourite is the flying seagull. Probably because of the contrast between the aerial and land borne viewpoints, that has always fascinated us. I want to be that seagull and since the camera is behind it, I have the same view, too.

This is what leads my eye to explore the view.
