Rod and Spike,

The bird's wings are fully lifted. With a bridge camera, because of the lag, that would mostly be a chance thing. With a d-slr however it is certainly possible to wait and click at the exact time.

The shadow over part of the near-side wing and the detail of the feathers are features I find to be most interesting.

I am not the kind of person who takes offence to someone's frustrations, I myself run a Car forum plus I am admin on another car forum, normally my humour or whit comes across like it is meant, this time maybe it didn't..again I apologise, I would do nothing to upset anyone, and especially don't want it to affect the running of the site, so If Geoff wishes he can put me back as a normal member,

If I got the wrong end of the stick Leon, then I apologise, but maybe to prevent any further misunderstanding, and certainly until we get used to your sense of humour, you need to be clearer with your posts in the future.

Hi Spike,

I need to accept some of the blame here, too. You see Leon was reluctant to do this role because he felt he didn't have enough experience of photography forums. The whole POTW thing was his suggestion as well; and I felt his closer involvement would be appropriate.

What I failed to do was brief him during the close of the week on the POTW selection and some background as to my reasons for choice. Had I done exactly that, then he would have been more relaxed in making an early comment, I am sure.

We have PM'd each other Geoff, so hopefully it is now in the past and forgotten.
