Tonights Moon
The sky was quite clear tonight so i thought i would have a go at the moon, i'm quite happy with the results, here's one :

excellent effort and if you shot in raw I think it would sharpen up a little more too

Unfortunately i can't shoot in raw, i'm in Kent down near Dover, the P500 doesn't do too bad at night shots, it has a night landscape mode which is quite good, but i took the moon on auto at full zoom.

I think your camera can handle RAW, Rod. Ultimately, it will be worth your while to learn the ropes with it, too. And that is not totally straightforward, either... as I found out.
As Colin mentioned it gives you extra scope in adjusting an image that you've taken. Geoff Geoff |
