RE: New HS10
What sort of a seagull is that? They all seem to have different juvenile colours?

Excellent pic. Did you use a lot of zoom?

Blush!!

Ok, that could be a greylag or a faroese, I guess. Or a 57 varieties.

I don't Undecided ...

composition is poor, looking down on the bird has created a one legged beast
and being a picky here but focus is a bit soft

sorry to sound harsh, (I think I'm turning into the Simon Cowell of BCUG)

RE: New HS10
That was the sort of shot I used to take, too. Confused

But it's well worth plugging away.

Keep 'em up. Kind comment doesn't always actually help. Also, as I've been saying to Gerry, the HS10, although a good camera, is not that easy to come to terms with quickly.

Hi Geoff

I haven't a clue what type seagull it is

I didn't use a lot of zoom between x4 or x5 (focal lenght 20.4mm)

RE: New HS10
Did you have to use a lot of zoom for the Grey heron? We have them in our area but they are not easy to get close to, nice shot.
