Sunday 11th December. Photograph of the week (POTW).
320 px wide. Enlarge in [^popup] or [^new tab]. ![]() 250 px wide. Enlarge in [^popup] or [^new tab]. ![]() In my travels through this week's posts there was another shot which caught my eye for candidate material. It is not a good idea to have the same winner two weeks in a row. But the following shot has superb character and compositional elements about it. FujimanG says he was inebriated when he took it; but the composition is no accident, in my opinion. Here are the links to threads where each picture appeared: http://bridgecamerausers.co.uk/mybb/show...p?tid=1954 http://bridgecamerausers.co.uk/mybb/show...91#pid6891 Geoff |

Thanks for the comments guys,
I spoke to Geoff earlier and said I was a little embarrassed as I only really posted my photo to show Mr Wall an example of how frost/snow can change a scene and wasn't expecting it to be picked for the POTW. But I'm glad you like it

RE: Sunday 11th December. Photograph of the week (POTW).
Of course, a picture posted by someone asking for help or just because they want to share it is one main way that pictures get posted up.
And I did stop and think about the same issue Colin has mentioned. But trying to be helpful toward other members is probably just as an appropriate way of posting pictures on forum. This comes down to the views held by the adjudicator. And I feel that the role should be swapped around some, because, for example, I will be able to gain experience by observing others in that role. The adjudicator role is quite an interesting one, because there seem to be so many factors that need to be balanced out. Geoff Geoff |
