There are some tweaks to finish. Most members appear. It is I believe dependant on lifting information from your profile; and I'll find out what it needs. The displayed map comes off of google servers; and I believe there is a lag from the time that profile info for location is placed appropriately and it coming up on the map.

Clicking on a pin, displays the member’s user name.

I'll clarify/ sort everything asap.

I believe it is worthwhile.

I have entered my location in my profile as Brentwood, Essex, UK. But I don't show up yet; but I am may be placed somewhere strange.

I see one member in Lincolnshire appears in Illinois. But that was the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln... so the UK bit maybe essential, in some cases.

I've been doing some comparative searches on google maps. It seems that none of the following brings me up on the Member Location Maps

• Brentwood, Essex
• Hanging Hill Lane, Brentwood, UK
• Essex, UK

These all work on google maps, though. So I need to do a bit more googling and networking. But also one of our members might know the answer to this.

I've tried Ipswich, Norwich and London and specified UK, too... lots of these place names appear elsewhere in the English speaking world!

So it will be a sort of needle in haystack search on the internet for what it is that's "spooking" us.

But I do suspect also that results are not instantaneous and have to be cached an google's server.

I do now show as appearing at Ipswich. So the server does take time to update... probably as much as a day or two. Have to now see what happens when I set myself back to Brentwood.
