playing with photoshop again!!!!
this was taken on walkabout yesterday evening whilst practising with aperture settings! I realise it is not the most focused photo and thats why i chose to play with some filters and textures to try and create a more worldly looking photo! i wanted to create some cracking and edging of the phot but couldnt find the texture overlay i wanted so settled on this as a finished result! feel free to play!!!!

RE: playing with photoshop again!!!!
Thanks for giving permission to play. I suspect that tone mapping and a few other tweaks will yield results. I am not sure that I can do anything before early tomorrow evening, though, since I have to get ready for a trip to the dentist tomorrow and I have an early start.

RE: playing with photoshop again!!!!
erm... without sounding rude - Alan this is the sort of image I would not go to the trouble of doing anything with and is often the wrong reason people use photoshop.
Can I suggest perhaps a little more though into composition would have made the world of difference? You have all the elements there for a good photo ... boy, puddles, wellies. You could have got the lad jumping in the air, splashing in the puddles - he looks bored silly it would have made the day fun for him and you would both have a nice record of your walk in the rain.

RE: playing with photoshop again!!!!
200 px wide. Enlarge in [^popup] or [^new tab]. ![]() 280 px wide. Enlarge in [^popup] or [^new tab]. ![]() Because pp can be done quickly, it really is possible to realise the opportunities that there were available at time of shooting. Applied: Cropping, tone mapping, sharpening. Discussion can help a lot, too. Geoff Geoff |
