About Cookies and how to enable them on your browser
There is a brief section on Cookies in the Help Pages. It is at http://bridgecamerausers.co.uk/mybb/misc...help&hid=3

To have Cookies enabled is important for the smooth operation of BCUG when you are viewing it as a logged in member. A few browsers such as Safari have cookies disabled by default. Also some people are very cautious about Cookies and disable them at all times. It is possible, however, to add specific exceptions to such a rule.

http://support.google.com/websearch/bin/...swer=35851 is a google support page for enabling cookies as exceptions.

Cookies are needed in Internet Shopping Carts, for instance, and they enable information about what you ordered to be stored on your computer, so that you can return at a later time and continue. On BCUG there is also some stored information held on your computer that facilitates the site display for you. For example you may have earlier marked a forum as read and data about that will normally be stored on your computer, so that when you return that forum is still marked as read (unless of course a new post has been made in that forum). Most tellingly, if you have enabled the computer to memeorise your password, disabling the BCUG cookie will still oblige you to log in each time you visit. If you have that issue, you are most likely to get other issues, too.

If you are having any difficulty with use of this site while logged in, it is strongly recommended that you use the above information to check out your browsers cookie settings and to enable them, too.

At all times, I am available for discussion on such issues. Do not hesitate to contact me if you experience any issues.

Geoff
