Less familiar territory, this type of shot is.

I must confess I do rather like town scapes. It's really over the last year that I have improved my skills and stuff to be able to get up to a satisfactory par with them. Bishops Stortford is another fantastic location that I use.

Ah, Pegs Lane
That road brings back memories when we attended the youth club there in 1968-69!
But being a Ware boy born and bred, I have to say that Hertford is not as picturesque as Ware. There is a looong tradition of rivalry between the two towns that goes back centuries Tongue
Talking good locations try Thaxted or Saffron Walden or even Newport, Essex. All terrific locations for quaint buildings

I've only been to Ware, just the once. Sometimes, I just seem to sniff out scenic places; but I also just love to wander streets.

I haven't yet been to Saffron Walden or Thaxted.

Now with that shot of Pegs Lane, what sort of caught me was the drop going down the lane. It drops off from the dual carriage way and is a transition point, off into a sleepier world!

Yep, the drop only occured after the Dual carriageway was built, before it just used to run into a junction with Castle Street over the other side.
