RE: new winter pics
I feel you have retained the tones nicely; not under exposed and not over exposed.

I don't know if you did any post processing, Martin. But my guess would be that they are straight from the camera.

Each of those shots could now be worked on, because you have good exposure "foundations".

I believe you would be amazed by the quality of finished results that could be produced.

Could I have your permission to post process the two swans (last but one).

Geoff

RE: new winter pics
Hi Martin,

Just watching some television (The Great Barrier Reef). I'll get the image back up in about 45 mins.

The levels command made an impact. Tone Mapping. Local Contrast Enhancement. Mid tone sharpening. Luminosity sharpening.

This is a somewhat high contrast version; probably not quite to everyone's taste.

Martin - the best simple thing you can do to improve yours (or anyone else's) photographs unless there is a real reason you need it on there is to turn of the date stamp! Smile

...or one day it will ruin a really great photograph Big Grin

RE: new winter pics
I understand what you are saying, but an idiot like me can tell when it was taken, cos I don't know how to get the exif data to show. I can't even get smileys to work, I have tried and I know I'm very trying LOL.
