Knobs and stuff, if you will excuse my French?
Does your camera have an on/ off switch with a limb coming out of with a notch so that you can turn it with a finger nail... most cameras do.

There are buttons and knobs all over the place and with viewfinder shooting you will eventually learn by feel where everything is.

I picked up on the finger nail notches and grooved jog wheels after a couple of months maybe... I can't remember exactly when. I guess it all irritated and frustrated me until I got to that point.

One camera I have, the humble little GE X5, controls everything mostly by menu. This takes a little longer to do, but would be more straightforward for the total newcomer; again, mobile phones have beautiful on screen controls.

But the knobs, grooved wheels and notched slider buttons and stuff are ergonomic and handy, once you have got familiar with them and what they do.

Tell us about your knobs. Smile

Geoff
