Hi kylataff and welcome aboard!
Hi there and welcome aboard kylataff,
Please read carefully. Your account is activated! This is an automatically generated posting; and personalised welcome postings from our members will follow soon. We have started to register members automatically on sign up. And we need to upgrade your membership, as soon as we see posts about photography that you have made. If you experience any problems, please use the Contact Us facility. Firstly, you may find our Useful Info Page (link also placed in the main menu bar) useful to check out. We recommend that you find time to check it out. Another thing we would like to mention is our anti spam bot protection, and such bots wreak great havoc if they manage to get full access rights. We do not really know that you are not a bot until we have seen your first posts on photography. In the meantime you are limited to four posts per day, one of which can be a new thread; the personal messaging system is also disabled, just for the moment. Hopefully, we will spot your photography posts quickly and upgrade your membership quickly, too. We thank you for your understanding in this matter of our preserving the integrity and smooth running order of the site. Because we have not yet done an email check, you may receive an email from us asking you to confirm receipt of same. We sincerely hope you enjoy your time on this messaging board. Kind Regards, The BCUG Admin Team |

Your camera is more or less in the same bracket as the Nikon p500 and Panasonic Fz45 How long have you had it for? If you use Flickr or Photobucket and want to display images from those sites, then here is a Guide. Geoff |

RE: Hi kylataff and welcome aboard!
Hi,
I'm very new to photography, until now I have just snapped holiday pics and family shoots with my point and shoot canon D10. This week I bought a Canon SX40HS (basically because of the huge zoom, having envied the photos my husband was able to take in Cuba with his Canon DSLR). Now I want to learn whatever I can to justify my spend lol and to give myself a hobby. Hoping to learn lots from everyone, especially if you too have an SX40 and can pass on any tips you've learned. |

RE: Hi kylataff and welcome aboard!
Your camera us an acclaimed model and has many easy to use features. You would be right if you said that there is stuff about photography which is definitely a craft or an art, although the technical side of things can be a challenge, too.
We will do what we can to help. I can also create a thread in Bridge Camera Work for this model. Geoff |
