If you look on You Tube you will find several comparisons of this camera with the Nikon P500. This I think is the better of the two.

Not that it is important for a beginner, but it will let you shoot in RAW. So it may prove to be a camera you want to keep for some years to come!

So, Kyla, the next stage is to get some resources up, so that we can more easily discuss the controls.
