I am a complete beginner to photography and have just recently purchased my HS20EXR. I was very much into snowboarding and kitesurfing but following a serious accident ( fell 60ft from a roof ) i am finding myself leaning towards hopefully a much safer hobby. Having only ever used a very basic point and shoot camera i didnt feel confident in tackling a DSLR so opted for the HS20 while i learn the basics of photography. I am steadily working through all the different modes and functions of this camera and hopefully i can learn from other members and gain some knowledge about digital photography. I have also purchased various filters, UV, ND, Polariser etc as well as a raynox dcr 250 macro attachment as i would love to explore a wide diversity of subjects and hopefully get some decent shots

We started this thread recently, http://bridgecamerausers.co.uk/mybb/thread-2268.html which is aimed at exploring what the HS20 can do. In some ways it is quite a technical camera.

I started on a similar model some four years ago. There is also a Flickr forum dedicated to the camera; but arguably we are a good place, too, because we try to help with developing photgraphy skills. Ceratainly we have some very experienced members.
