RE: winter pics
Very nice pics. And I am thinking about the location, too.

There is the crucifix in the church and the inscription is not in a language using the Cyrillic alphabet. And I don't think that is a slavonic or greek language, either.

The character of those shots is appealing to our western European eyes.

So do tell us the location!! I'm so interested.

Geoff

Somewhere in Bucovina, north of Romania!

RE: winter pics
Bucovina, eh!!

I had suspected the inscription was either in Romanian or a version of it. (it looks close to the Latin languages we have in western europe).

The well and the crank wheel are nice shots. ANd that one looking through the window at the crucifix is nice.

Also the wide view with the ruined monastery on one side and the church on the other and the grave yard is a very nice composition. The squatting photographer taking his shot from another viewpoint makes reflect on the different ways of looking at that scene... very good!

RE: winter pics
Well done nicusbiera, I like all your shots, it looks like you have very cold winters in your part of the world. Are your summers good to make up for your winters? The least bit of snow in England and the country comes to a stand still. Huh

RE: winter pics
In summer 30+Celsius, this winter 20-Celsius (last few winters we had around -8)!
These pics were taken at -20 C!

So your camera didn't freeze up, I bet you were freezing. The length we photographers go to, to get a shot Big Grin .
