Was just messing around a little with the dog and camera and some of the finer settings.

I'm pleased with the background being blurred and at an odd angle. And it kinda looks like The Captain is trying to attack.

What do you guys reckon?

I Hope you fully appreciate the magnitude of your impending good fortune.

Re: Devil dog in Sepia
Sometimes it is not so easy to make a choice between applying sepia (or b/w) and developing a full colour image.

B & W can convey distinctiveness in a couple of different ways. I will do some web searches because a discussion of the pros and cons of the two broad types of rendering can be interesting.

So, I will get back.

This link is not quite on topic, but this method of using overlays works very well with some subjects.

Inspired by the above - my very first attemp using Gimp 2.6

Can you spot the deliberate errors?!?!?!

Not perfect by a long shot - but i'm kinda encouraged by the results!

That is cool. I must own up, I've not done one of these layered shots yet. Must give it a go!
